A fun Kyoto experience: traditional hands-on paper craft
Visitors can not only see the 1,400 year old traditional Japanese papermaking process called "tesuki" (handicraft), they are also invited to try it themselves. And that is why so many foreign tourists flock to try it out. In addition to making your own original postcards, table mats, and tapestries, putting together your own temple and shrine goshuincho stamp book from a choice of around one hundred different yuzen dyed Japanese paper designs is also very popular.
The instructor teaches the paper craftingprocess in a fun way with a kind smile.
